Biography: Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2009 before venturing down south to Atlanta, GA to complete an Internal Medicine residency at the Emory University School of Medicine. It was during her rotations at Grady Hospital, the county hospital in Atlanta, when she developed an interest in treating the underserved. After finishing residency, she returned to the University of Chicago to work as an attending physician and hospital medicine scholar in the Section of Hospital Medicine. She then joined the Department of General Internal Medicine at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in 2014 as an attending physician and clinician educator.
Dr. Lee provides direct care to her patients in the general medicine clinic and teaches residents in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. In addition to her clinical work, she is involved in faculty development activities to improve clinical teaching and currently co-directs the Ambulatory Intern Immersion experience.
Dr. Lee became Associate Firm Chief for Firm A in 2016. She has a passion for treating the underserved and for educating medical learners in all stages of training. Her focus is on resident education, faculty development, and curriculum development.
